Code of Conduct
SAFETY ESSENTIALS
Helmet Requirement
A properly fitted helmet must be worn at all times while riding. This is mandatory for all clinics, group rides, and individual trail use.
Bike Requirements
A well-maintained bike is necessary to ensure your safety and the safety of others around you.
Audio Device Policy
Speakers and headphones are not permitted on trails or during group rides to ensure rider awareness and safety.
Alcohol Policy
Beer and wine are available in designated festival zones for participants aged 21 and older only. Valid ID is required. Public intoxication is not permitted, particularly on trails. Violations may result in removal from the event without refund.
Impaired Riding Prohibited
Alcohol will be available at designated areas during this event. Riding under the influence of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited. Participants found riding while impaired will be removed from the event for safety reasons.
Participant Removal
Event organizers reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior poses a safety risk to themselves or others, without refund.
AGE & ACCESSIBILITY
Age Requirement
Limitless is an 18+ event. All participants must be at least 18 years of age on or before the date of the event.
Accessibility
The venue is accessible for individuals with disabilities. However, adaptive clinics and group rides are not currently offered as part of the event programming.
TRAIL RULES & ETIQUETTE
Leave No Trace
Practice Leave No Trace principles at all times. Pack it in, pack it out. Dispose of all trash properly.
Stay on Marked Trails
Remain on designated trails at all times to protect the environment and ensure your safety.
Right of Way
Yield to uphill riders and all non-riding trail users. Please note that horseback riders are permitted at Oak Mountain State Park—always yield to horses and follow proper equestrian trail etiquette.
Trail Difficulty
Know your skill level and choose trails and activities appropriate to your abilities.
FESTIVAL POLICIES
Pet Policy
This is a pet-free event. No pets are permitted on trails or in the festival area to ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees.
Photography & Media
By attending this event, you consent to being photographed and filmed. These images may be used for promotional purposes.
Smoking & Vaping
Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated areas. Please be mindful of fire safety and dispose of materials properly.
Weapons Policy
Weapons of any kind are not permitted at this event.
Check-In Requirements
All participants must check in upon arrival and wear their registration wristband at all times during the event.

Zero Tolerance Policy
Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or disrespectful behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to:
- Verbal or physical harassment based on gender identity, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic
- Unwanted physical contact or sexual advances
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
- Disruptive or aggressive behavior
- Hate speech or derogatory comments
Consequences
Violations of this code of conduct will result in immediate removal from the event without refund. Severe violations may result in a ban from future events and/or involvement of law enforcement.
Reporting
If you experience or witness any code of conduct violations:
- Notify any event staff member immediately
- Contact event organizers
- Visit the information tent/check-in area
All reports will be taken seriously and handled with discretion.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
Emergency Contact
In case of emergency, contact event staff immediately or call 911.
Trail Emergency Exit
If you need to exit a trail early due to injury, mechanical failure, or other emergency:
- Notify event organizers immediately
- Provide your location using trail markers or GPS coordinates
- Arrange pickup with minimal disruption to other riders
- Ensure you’ve provided emergency contact information during registration
Inclement Weather Policy
This event will proceed rain or shine. Participants are responsible for monitoring weather conditions prior to and during the event to make informed decisions regarding their participation.
Severe Weather Protocol: In the event of severe weather conditions, including but not limited to lightning, high winds, or dangerous storms, participants assume full responsibility for their own safety. This venue does not provide emergency shelter facilities. Participants should come prepared with appropriate gear and have a personal safety plan, including knowledge of nearby shelter locations and evacuation routes.
By participating in this event, you acknowledge that mountain biking is an inherently outdoor activity subject to changing weather conditions, and you accept the associated risks. Event organizers reserve the right to modify, delay, or cancel portions of the event if conditions pose an unreasonable safety risk, though no refunds will be issued for weather-related changes.
Recommendation: Check the weather forecast before arriving and bring appropriate clothing, gear, and emergency supplies for changing conditions.
LIABILITY & ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Assumption of Risk
Mountain biking is an inherently risky activity. By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
Waiver
All participants must sign a liability waiver during registration. Refusal to sign will result in denial of participation.
